Amber Skidmore

As B&B's in general go I give this a 3 out of 5. However, if I'm rating it based on the other hotel options in the area it would get a 4 out of 5. When I visit the area my first choice based on the location, comfort and price is the Kerbyville Inn. It's cleaner and less prison-cell like than the Junction Inn; more reliable and slightly cheaper than they Holiday Inn; and much closer to town than the Caves Chateau . The rooms themselves are dated with beige shag carpeting, early 90's pastel paint, and in most rooms an older TV. But everything is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the bedding is new. All of the double bed rooms are spacious with a little kitchenette (sink, bowels, glasses, mini-fridge, microwave). The Bordeaux, Blue Moon and Chardonnay are very large rooms. The Merlot is tiny and, be forewarned, does not have AC. I've never had the breakfast, but my family who has told me the food was tasty and plentiful. If you tell them up front when booking that you do not want the breakfast they will knock a couple dollars off the nightly rate. Be forewarned that wi-fi in the Bordeaux and Blue Moon rooms (which sit in their own building separate from the rest of the rooms) is spotty. There is a little convenience store only 100 yards from the hotel where you can get coffee, soda, beer and snacks. By car your about 2 miles from "downtown" Cave Junction.
