John O.

Work done on my car so far: 1. Detailing 2. Replacement of window tints. 3. Application of tail light and rear bottom reflector smoke paint. 4. Installation of aftermarket carbon fiber rear diffuser, front lip and rear wing and Installation of aftermarket mud flaps. 5. Repair of front bumper after an accident. 6. Repair of deep scratch on rear bumper. Pros: 1. Competitive pricing on labor costs compared to other shops in the area. 2. They do outstanding repairs on bumpers (they do average/decent to very good work for the rest of the body) 3. Friendly staff and are flexible with scheduling. 4. They'll install aftermarket body parts for you and do a pretty good job at troubleshooting fitment and modifications. 5. Although I've never used it the offer loaner cars too. 6. Close vicinity to a public transportation stop. 7. Cheaper than most larger body shops by hundreds of dollars with workmanship quality that's about the same as higher end body shops. If you believe that because you paid more and therefore the quality is better, then go to Leifs; Leifs will swear they're superior because they used great parts and you're car is safer for it or something (without any real data to back it up; e.g. does a Leif-repaired car fair better after an accident than others? Who knows? Leifs doesn't, but they claim it-will)...when all you wanted to do was remove a scratch from your bumper. 8. They offer a giftcard to Burgerville for your review. Cons: 1. Every single time I've had my car done there the invoice was ALWAYS higher than their initial estimates by at least 15%-20% or more. ALWAYS! 2. I don't blame the technicians that work on the car, but some service reps that work there (one lady in particular) don't really follow instructions very well. I had my windows tinted there. The tints came out nicely, but I specifically requested of the lady handling my work that I don't think works there anymore, that if the tint replacements were going to look the same as the ones they were replacing to go with a shade darker with the tints instead; they replaced my tints with the same exact shade of tint I had before. Why would I replace perfectly good tints for the same exact ones? You'd think they would at least verify that this is what I wanted before they proceeded. There was no written document of what the work was supposed to be done specifically except that the tints were to be replaced. So it would've been difficult to argue that I had verbally instructed for darker tints than the original one. 3. Lack of attention to detail. You'd think they'd take a look at the whole car after they're done just to make sure everything looks okay and clean. Every work I've had done there on my bumper always comes back with the bumper not quite aligned or securely flush with the rest of front or rear panels, e.g. there's always a gap on top where the bumper connects to the fenders and etc. Often times there were smudges or dirt on other parts of the car that obviously was not protected during the work, adding work for me when I finally notice it when I get home. 4. There are cheaper places to get your car detailed for the same result elsewhere. Specifically, if you get your car detailed at places that just does detailing. 5. They offer a gift card to Burgerville for a review.
