Been to pastini quite a few times in my life, generally a good experience. Unfortunately this time I was told I couldn't get alcohol because my ID was 2 weeks expired, they insisted it's some rule. This would have been fine if I felt like they cared at all, but unfortunately they didn't attempt to make it up to me and the waiter even asked us if we were going to leave and go somewhere else. I got the idea that they didn't really have a desire to service me in the first place. I'm sure i can find somewhere else nearby for Italian food next time that will try and keep a customer rather than usher them out the door. Next time you could offer a free breadsticks or something to show your customers that you care.
Sadly, they raised prices so much and so often I can't justify eating here again. The quality, atmosphere etc. doesn't match the high price. They do offer good gluten free pasta and other options, which is why I've gone a half hour out of my way to eat here, but it's not $15.50 a dish good. They do accommodate also for dairy allergies which is very nice. Mediocre at best though for quality/good taste/enough sauce, and atmosphere, it's not attractive or cozy inside and not romantic like you'd expect for a place that serves Italian food. Do not visit in the summer heat, the air conditioning doesn't work.
