DO NOT GO HERE
I bought the $99 auto detailing from amazonlocal and took my car to Martin. Upon arrival he told me that it would be another $35, no reason why, my car was basically detailed already, something about it being large like an SUV, even though it was a Subaru Forester. Anyway I agreed to the price and within an hour of leaving I get a call from Martin who explains that he has a problem, he locked my keys in my car with it running...
He said he would come get my spare, and about an hour later he did. No big deal I guess. Upon pickup it looked ok, although the car was still wet inside. He explained that he added an extra half gallon of gas to make up for the hour or so that it was running, satisfied I paid him and left.
I parked the car about 5 mins after leaving it and locked it. When I returned to my car 10 mins later I tried to unlock it and the key just spun around in the lock. I looked closer and could see torn felt from inside the door and scratches on the window from a hangar where he had attempted to break in prior to calling me for the key.
I immediately called him and he did all but deny it. He said that it was probably like that when I brought it to him. After I insisted that he knew exactly what I was talking about he asked me to bring it in so he could have a chance to repair it.
FAT CHANCE OF THAT!
I currently have an estimate for repairs for 150 bucks for the door lock which he says he will not pay because he should be able to fix it himself and I should bring him the car, and that he doesn't think he should be responsible. When I told him in our last conversation that I do not trust him to fix it he hung up on me and told me he was done dealing with me. I currently have a demand letter from my attorney to him over this and will likely take him to small claims court.
Think twice before going to see him. I cant believe I paid him extra....
