I made an appointment with a tax specialist. And all throughout my scheduled appointment the front desk lady kept coming in and interrupting us because someone had walked in and wanted her info printed out. It easily took up about 15 minutes of my time. Beyond that, when I looked at my papers, she had put my husbands name on all of them. Even the emails I received were addressed to my husband. Even though I am the one who files our taxes every year, and I am the one who spent an hour and a half of my day getting our taxes taken care of, I was just listed as "spouse." She didn't even write my name on the file holding all of the papers she handed me! The whole experience made me feel small and insignificant. I will not be going back to that office again. To be honest, I don't think I'll even be using their online service again. With the amount of tax prep options out there, you'd think H&R Block would be a little bit more focused on customer service.
