Don't do online check in. It's a joke and does not mean anything other than notifying you are coming. I checked in today and still waited a hour and a half just to get into a room. Once in back, the service was great, but the staff kept having loud inappropriate conversations about how bad some patients were. The woman at the front desk was rude and lying to everyone including the staff. Being in the medical field I have no tolerance for this.
The staff conversations boardered on HIPAA violations since anyone who was in waiting room knew who they were talking about. The front desk lady had similar conversations and kept lying to patients about wait times, complained about anyone that came in. One guy she trash talked could only speak Spanish and was within earshot. Though he might of not understood his friend may of picked up on some of it and everyone in the waiting room did. She then kept lying about wait times to try to turn people away.
One person called in about someone that had a laceration and was bleeding. She told them it was a 2 hour wait. She said they could wrap it up, but then the person (who I was under the impression was a child) would have to "sit and wait like everyone else" and to go to another location.
Besides the fact that, at that point, it was only a hour wait at the time, when the other location called a higher up there to complain he asked her about it in the back hall. She said that the individual was bleeding "really" bad and at the time they called it was a two hour wait. Giving the impression it had happened earlier that afternoon. They had called only 20 minutes prior. I was the only person left in the waiting room at that time.
The back staff was nice, but really need to remember their HIPAA training, and to have those conversations where patients can't hear. As for the check in woman I would not want her representing my business, and I would want her nowhere near my patients!!!
