A few hints one only learns through experience. Arrive 30 min. before office opens (opens at 9 a.m.) I was 2nd in line at 8:30 waiting outside. By 9, there were at least 9 waiting. Take as little "stuff" as possible. Your bags/purses will be searched. (no knives or pepper spray, etc.) Take ID. No food or drink allowed. They may or may not be able to help you as a walk-in. Benefit certifiers were not available for walk-in so I couldn't be helped today. You can also make appointments by calling the national toll-free #, but it will be out aways.
