First & foremost, let me give a shout out to the camp host. The pleasant & friendly women that was there on Saturday, April 7th, 2018.
We came on a day with a down pour of rain & wind gust of 30mph or more, with 2 kids & 2 dogs, both didn't get along at times. Let's just say, things didn't go off to a great start in setting up any kind of equipment, food or otherwise, plus the onset of illness, which ended the trip from Seattle. We did try to see if a yurt or cabin might be available due to the early part of the season but with a apologetic and concerned host we decided to take things safe... we headed home. The next day I get a phone call from her asking if we are going to arrive but with the explanation of what happened, she offered a refund for the remaining days. I wasn't expecting a phone call let alone that, even after telling her about the sickness. She proved once again that she was truly a genuine person, her family must be proud! Thank you for reminding me/us to look on the bright side of life, while singing & whistling the tune (ode to Monty Python) after having some great smoked sliders my boyfriend Primo made before weather got worst..(& no, that didn't make me sick).
We will be visiting ASAP!
J & family!
