We had a great experience last summer when we visited Bull Run. Located in the constantly evolving Northwest District, Bull Run fits in perfectly with the other amazing businesses that have moved to the neighborhood. The tasting room is just the right size. It isn't so small as to be cramped but isn't so big that it loses some intimacy. The tasting room host was friendly and helpful. And then there was the main reason we visited: the beverages. All of the choices were very good. Especially great is the Portland Dry Gin. I had never had gin before so trying theirs was quite a revelation. I have rarely tasted something so good. I loved it. It was so good I had no choice but to purchase a bottle. I brought it to a friend's house and a few of us drank it in one night. Fortunately, there is one liquor store in Brooklyn that carries it. I made sure to go there to pick up a bottle. I just checked our cabinet...it is still there but is almost gone. I'll have to buy another one soon. I am mostly a beer and bourbon guy but the Portland Dry Gin is amazing enough to convert me.
