If I could give zero stars, I would. We reserved and pre-paid for a convertible about a month in advance at the Avis branch of this location. We specifically wanted a convertible so we could drive up the coast to Seattle and then Vancouver as part of our wedding/honeymoon trip.
We called the morning of and asked if we could pick up the car early... sure, no problem, it's waiting for you! We got to the lot and there was no convertible to be found. The guy at the desk didn't realize that they brought a hard top and not a convertible (the car was brand new and very nice... but definitely small and NOT ideal for sightseeing).
We were told that there had been 4 convertible reservations but only 2 cars available... so we were SOL. Why did your reservations system even let that happen, and why weren't we notified of the issue in advance??? When we complained, we were given a small discount and were told we could speak to the territory manager, Lester Gates.
Well, I did reach Lester when we returned the car at the end of our trip, and he said he'd get to the bottom of the issue and would call me back. That was almost 3 months ago now... no call back from Lester. I don't care if the guy at the desk said we got a "great deal" on a nice car. We didn't get the type of car we splurged for for our wedding/honeymoon trip, and apparently they don't care if their customers are satisfied. I will never rent from Avis again.
